How to get log files when requested by support
If you are working with our support team and they've asked for the logs, or you're having an issue with Talkatoo, and want us to know, here are the steps to collect them.
Computer
We have a new, easier way to obtain the relevant logs and get them to Support.
- Click the 3 dots on the Talkatoo Dictation bar (or Menu if it is fully expanded)

- Click Support.
- Click Report a Bug.
- Add a description of the problem with as much detail as you can, then Click Submit

- After clicking submit, it will show you a message and open the Downloads folder on your computer, highlighting the .zip file it just created.
- Open a new email and attach this file by dragging and dropping it, or clicking the attachment button and selecting it in your Downloads folder.
- If you have any screenshots that you think would be helpful, you should attach them as well.
- Unless you've been instructed to send it to a particular email address or person, address it to bugs@talkatoo.com, add a Subject line indicative of the issue, then Send.
Windows: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Talkatoo\logs
also: %appdata%\Talkatoo\logs
Mac: ~\Library\logs\Talkatoo
Mobile App

- On Android, you will need to select your email at the bottom.

-
Once the email has opened, please put a brief description of the issue, and any screenshots you think would be helpful, and then send it.Note that the ability to send email on your device is required to submit logs.
